"This is by far one of the best I have read!"
Alice Olson steps into the past when she walks into the neighborhood grocery store.
Following a near-fatal accident, Alice Olson inherits Olson Grocery, a family neighborhood grocery store in Jamestown, North Dakota.
In 2001, Alice arrives at the property, only to discover a rundown building. Attempting to bury a poor decision on the wake of the grave incident, she decides to restore the family business in spite of its’ dark and bloody reputation dating back to Opening Day during the Roaring Twenties.
Alice is sucked into the past when she steps into the neighborhood grocery store. The property quickly becomes a haunt for curious neighbors, ghost hunters, and even childhood friends.
Driven by duty, Alice searches the Olson family tree, finding not all the ghosts from the past are friendly. Neither is she the first woman to stay at the grocery store because she had to.
Then when renovations begin, so do her nightmares.
Edges between dreams and reality blur until Alice is no longer sure who she can trust. Which includes a handsome next-door neighbor and one of the rugged contractors she hires who resembles nothing of the peculiar teen from her childhood.
Opening Day Halloween, history repeats itself when tragedy strikes. Alice fears the true evil lies inside the walls of the grocery store itself.
